Integration Overview

SegMetrics takes the spend from StackAdapt Ads and purchases from your payment processor then connects them to the email addresses in your email marketing platform.

You don't need to import the orders or tag people in a special way: they just need to be in your CRM account!

How to connect StackAdapt Ads to SegMetrics

Head over to your Integrations page in your SegMetrics account

Once you're on the Integrations page, search or scroll and click on the StackAdapt Ads integration

Click Connect StackAdapt

You will need your GraphQL API Key. You will have to reach out to StackAdapt support in order to receive this.

Once you get it enter it into the field and click “Connect StackAdapt”

How to configure StackAdapt Ads for SegMetrics

Once you have connected StackAdapt Ads, you'll want to add the tracking value to your ads so that SegMetrics can connect individual users to each click on your ads. You will need to add these tracking parameters to the destination URL for each ad:

utm_campaign={SA_CAMPAIGN_NAME}&utm_source={SA_REF_DOMAIN}&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content={SA_REF_PAGE}&utm_term={SA_CONTENT_TITLE}&seg_acam={SA_CAMPAIGN_ID}&seg_aid={SA_CREATIVE_ID}

For example the entire link would look something like:

https://example.com/path?utm_campaign={SA_CAMPAIGN_NAME}&utm_source={SA_REF_DOMAIN}&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content={SA_REF_PAGE}&utm_term={SA_CONTENT_TITLE}&seg_acam={SA_CAMPAIGN_ID}&seg_aid={SA_CREATIVE_ID}

Historical data from StackAdapt

When you connect a new StackAdapt Ads Data Source, we import the last month of ad spend, clicks and impressions for all currently active ads. Lead attribution will start as soon as the ads are configured for tracking.

How to connect payment info to StackAdapt

You dont need to do anything for this. SegMetrics will automatically match the email from any user clicking on your StackAdapt ads with the email from the integrations sending SegMetrics your revenue and invoices.

How to build a Report using StackAdapt Ads data

Once your data is imported from StackAdapt Ads, you can create reports with the data to see how each touchpoint influences your sales.

Head over to the Advertising report. Scroll down until you see top sources. You will see all your ad platforms listed there. In the example below you can see FB and Google examples. This is where you will see your StackAdapt integration.

You can compare them down to the ad level or click StackAdapt if you only want to see data from it and filter out your other ad platforms.

Select your desired filters based on dates, tags and touchpoint

Frequently Asked Questions

What time zone is StackAdapt Ads data synced in?

StackAdapt Ads data is synced in UTC. SegMetrics reports on your data based in the timezone that you set in your Account Settings.

Why am I not seeing clicks but not any leads in SegMetrics?

When tracking StackAdapt Ads with SegMetrics, you will need to configure your ads with the appropriate tracking value. You will also need to make sure the page the destination URL is sending leads has the SegMetrics pixel on it. If you have confirmed both of these things please reach out to our support tea: help@segmetrics.io

How do I know if my ads are tracking properly?

From your Integrations Page, click the 3 dots next to your StackAdapt integration. Then click "setup ad tracking" Here will be a list of all the ads that we've detected as currently being active, and those we haven’t seen yet. If it isn’t showing up as detected it may just need time for someone to click that specific ad and land on your page.

You wont see these interactions in the reporting until these clicks opt in to your CRM. Then they will appear in the advertising report with the next sync.
