Cancel Account

If you need to cancel your SegMetrics account, you can do so directly from your billing page:

  1. Navigate to your Billing page
  2. Click Cancel Account next to your Current Plan
  3. Select your reason for canceling
  4. Provide feedback (optional but appreciated)

Note: When you cancel your account, SegMetrics will immediately stop syncing data from your integrations and tracking pixels.


What happens to your data

During account cancellation

  • Integration data sync stops - We lose access to platforms like Keap, AdWords, and Facebook
  • Tracking pixel stops - No new page tracking data is collected
  • Data retention - All stored data (user and lead information) is kept for 7 days after cancellation

Data deletion timeline

  • First 7 days: All data remains intact in case of billing issues or reactivation
  • After 7 days: All data is permanently removed from our servers

Important: Downgrading your plan (e.g., Business to Pro) does not delete any data.


Reactivating your account

If you decide to return to SegMetrics after canceling:

What gets restored:

  • All integration data from your connected platforms
  • Existing data merged seamlessly with newly imported data
  • Full account functionality restored

What's permanently lost:

  • Page tracking data from the period your account was inactive
  • Any tracking pixel information collected while canceled

You'll be able to resume using SegMetrics without missing a beat, though the tracking gap will remain.

Q: Im not using the tool right now but I dont want to use my data. What are my options?

A: You can contact support and enroll in an "active pause". This is more like a freeze to your account. For $10 a month your account will still collect click data but you wont have access to it until you re-enroll.

Q: Will my data be deleted if I downgrade my plan?

A: No, downgrading your subscription plan does not delete any data. Data deletion only occurs 7 days after complete account cancellation.

Q: Can I get help before canceling?

A: Absolutely! If you're considering canceling due to setup difficulties, cost concerns, technical problems, or need more support, contact us at support@segmetrics.io. During your 14-day trial, we're especially committed to helping you succeed.

Q: What if I have billing issues?

A: Reactivation is immediate. We'll import all available data from your integrations and merge it with your existing data right away.
