Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long does it take for Acuity appointments to appear in SegMetrics?

A. Appointments typically appear in SegMetrics within 5-10 minutes of booking. The tracking pixel fires immediately when someone completes the booking process, and the identify script ensures the appointment is properly attributed to the correct contact.

Q. Can I track different types of appointments separately?

A. Yes, SegMetrics will automatically capture the service type and appointment details from Acuity. You can create custom segments based on service types and analyze performance for each offering separately in your reports.

Q. What happens if someone books an appointment but doesn't provide an email?

A. The tracking pixel will still fire and record the appointment event, but without the email from the identify script, SegMetrics cannot attribute it to a specific contact. Email collection is essential for proper lead attribution and CRM integration.

Q. Can I see no-show rates in SegMetrics?

A. While SegMetrics tracks the initial appointment booking, no-show data would need to be manually updated in your CRM or Acuity system. SegMetrics focuses on the marketing attribution and initial conversion tracking rather than appointment management.

Q. Will this integration work with Acuity's embedded booking forms?

A. Yes, the tracking code works with all Acuity booking methods including embedded forms, direct links, and the full Acuity scheduling page. As long as the custom conversion tracking is properly configured, all booking methods will be tracked in SegMetrics.
