Choosing Which Revenue Source to Connect

When it comes to your business, it’s likely you’re using multiple different platforms from CRMs to payment processors. In terms of the latter, you might have a few different payment processors working simultaneously to make your products more accessible to your following. 

At first, it may be unclear whether you need to connect each of your payment processors to SegMetrics. That’s why we created this article to help you make the best decision when it comes to payment processing integrations. 

Each configuration is a bit different when it comes to the various marketing platforms being used. Some CRMs allow you to hook right up to your cart and payment process to send revenue and payment data directly into the CRM. 

Here’s a short list of some of the CRMs that are able to report and send revenue data through to SegMetrics:

  • ActiveCampaign
  • Klaviyo
  • ConvertKit
  • Keap
  • Ontraport
  • etc

If you are using one of the above CRM platforms and already have the CRM account connected to your payment platforms, you won’t need to connect any additional payment platforms to SegMetrics. 

In terms of revenue connections, it’s recommended to always connect to the best single source of truth. This means that the platform that holds all of your revenue data is recommended to be the best platform to connect to your SegMetrics account. 

Other than the CRM platforms mentioned above, there are certain platforms that are generally recommended as the single source of truth:

  • WooCommerce
  • ThriveCart 
  • BigCommerce
  • SamCart

Those platforms are also commonly used as subscription platforms. The data from those platforms is how SegMetrics populates subscription metrics in the subscription reports.
