You don't need to import orders or tag people in a special way - contacts just need to be in your Maropost account for SegMetrics to connect the data based on email addresses.


Connecting Maropost to SegMetrics

Follow these steps to integrate your Maropost account with SegMetrics:

Step 1: Get Your Maropost API Credentials

First, you'll need to gather your Account ID and API Key from Maropost:

Finding your Account ID:

  1. Log into your Maropost account
  2. Look at the URL in your browser after logging in
  3. Your Account ID is the number after "accounts/" in the URL
    • Example: If your URL is http://app.maropost.com/accounts/1234/dashboard , your Account ID is 1234

Creating an API Key:

  1. In your Maropost account, click your username in the top-right corner
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu
  3. Navigate to API Keys
  4. Click ADD KEY
  5. Enter a descriptive name for the API key
  6. Assign the necessary access privileges (ensure Campaigns, Account, Contacts, and Reports are selected)
  7. Click Save
  8. Copy the generated API Key

Step 2: Connect to SegMetrics

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page in your SegMetrics account
  2. From the list of available integrations, search for and click on Maropost
  3. Enter your Maropost credentials:
    • Account ID: The number from your Maropost URL
    • API Key: The key you generated in Step 1
  1. Click Connect to complete the integration

Once connected, SegMetrics will begin importing all historical contact and campaign data from your Maropost account.
