Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much historical data gets imported?
A: All historical data from your Sendlane account is synced, including contacts, tags, lists, and custom fields. However, website activity tracking only begins once the SegMetrics pixel is installed on your pages.
Q: How often does data sync?
A: SegMetrics syncs with Sendlane regularly throughout the day to keep your data current. Most changes appear in SegMetrics within a few hours.
Q: Why does SegMetrics show more contacts than Sendlane?
A: This is normal and by design. SegMetrics retains contact data even when contacts are deleted from Sendlane, since these individuals may still engage with your marketing funnels or make purchases. This ensures complete attribution tracking.
Q: Do I need special tracking links?
A: While not required for basic tracking, using tracking links and UTM parameters in your email campaigns provides much more detailed attribution data and campaign performance insights.
Q: Can I disconnect the integration later?
A: Yes, you can disconnect Sendlane at any time through the Integrations page. Note that historical data will be preserved in SegMetrics even after disconnecting.
Q: What if I have multiple Sendlane accounts?
A: Each SegMetrics workspace can connect to one Sendlane account. If you need to track multiple Sendlane accounts, contact SegMetrics support about multi-account options.
