ClickFunnels
SegMetrics integrates with ClickFunnels to track your funnel performance and provide revenue attribution. Installing the SegMetrics tracking pixel on your ClickFunnels pages is required to capture visitor behavior and connect web activity to your customer journey. Connecting ClickFunnels as your CRM or revenue source is optional and depends on your specific setup.
Understanding the ClickFunnels Integration
SegMetrics works with ClickFunnels in two ways:
Tracking Pixel (Required): Install the SegMetrics pixel on your ClickFunnels pages to track visitor behavior, page views, and funnel progression. This is essential for attribution and connecting web activity to contacts in your CRM.
CRM/Revenue Connection (Optional): If you use ClickFunnels to manage contacts or process payments, you can connect it as your CRM or revenue source in SegMetrics. This allows you to sync contact data and purchase information directly from ClickFunnels.
Benefits of Full Integration
When you combine tracking pixel installation with CRM/revenue connection, you gain:
Lifetime Revenue Analytics: Measure how your landing pages impact total revenue, not just short-term metrics.
Customer Segment Performance: Filter performance based on tags, source, purchases, and more to identify profitable cohorts.
Source Performance Comparison: See how different ads, affiliates, or marketing content affects conversions in later funnel steps.
Complete Attribution: SegMetrics connects contact data from ClickFunnels with web tracking to provide end-to-end attribution from first click to purchase.
Installing Tracking on Your Pages (Required)
This step is required for SegMetrics to track your ClickFunnels traffic and attribute it to your marketing sources.
Get Your Tracking Code
- In SegMetrics, go to your Site Setup page from the gear menu
- Copy your SegMetrics tracking pixel code
Option 1: Global Site-Wide Tracking (Recommended)
For comprehensive tracking across all ClickFunnels pages, funnels, and your store:
- Log in to your ClickFunnels workspace
- Navigate to Site & Blog app from the left-hand menu
- Click the three-dot menu next to your site name
- Select Site Settings
- Scroll to the Tracking Codes section
- Paste your SegMetrics code in the Header Code section
- Click Update Site

Option 2: Individual Funnel Tracking
To track specific funnels only:
- Navigate to Funnels in your ClickFunnels dashboard
- Select the funnel you want to track
- Click Settings within your funnel
- Locate the Head Tracking Code section
- Paste your SegMetrics pixel in the Head Tracking Code
- Click Save And Update Settings
Important: Always place your SegMetrics code in the Header Code (or Head Tracking Code) section. If using other tracking pixels, place SegMetrics at the very top or bottom of the code box to avoid conflicts.
Using ClickFunnels WordPress Plugin
If you use the ClickFunnels Plugin for WordPress, install the tracking pixel in both WordPress and ClickFunnels to ensure complete tracking coverage across all funnel touchpoints.
Connecting ClickFunnels as Your CRM (Optional)
Only complete this step if you use ClickFunnels to manage your contacts or process payments. If you use a different CRM (like ActiveCampaign, Keap, or HubSpot) or payment processor (like Stripe or PayPal), connect those instead.
Step 1: Access Integration Settings
- Log in to your SegMetrics account
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon in the top menu)
- Select Integrations from the settings menu
- Locate ClickFunnels in the available integrations list
Step 2: Connect Your Account
- Click Connect next to the ClickFunnels integration
- You'll be redirected to authorize SegMetrics access to your ClickFunnels account
- Enter your ClickFunnels login credentials when prompted
- Click Authorize to grant SegMetrics permission
- You'll be redirected back to SegMetrics with a confirmation
Step 3: Verify the Connection
- Return to your SegMetrics integrations page
- Confirm that ClickFunnels appears as Connected with a green status indicator
Once connected, SegMetrics automatically synchronizes contact information, funnel activity, purchase data, and tags from ClickFunnels. Data typically syncs within 15-30 minutes, with historical data taking several hours on first connection.
Testing Your Setup
After implementing tracking, verify it's working correctly:
- Visit your published pages in a private/incognito browser window
- Check your SegMetrics dashboard for incoming data
- Use browser developer tools to verify the tracking script loads:
- Press F12 to open developer tools
- Go to the Console tab
Look for SegMetrics tracking pixel notification

Allow 24-48 hours for data to populate in your SegMetrics dashboard, as some analytics may have processing delays.
FAQs
Q: Should I use global site-wide or funnel-specific tracking?
A: Global site-wide tracking is recommended for comprehensive coverage. Use funnel-specific tracking only when you need tracking on certain funnels. Avoid duplicating the same tracking code, as this causes data inconsistencies.
Q: Can I track ClickFunnels funnels with third-party payment processors?
A: Yes. SegMetrics tracks funnels regardless of payment processor. For complete revenue attribution, also connect your payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) to SegMetrics, or ensure purchase data flows through ClickFunnels contacts.
Q: Do I need to connect ClickFunnels as my CRM if I already use another CRM?
A: No. Only connect ClickFunnels as your CRM if you use it to manage contacts. If you use a different CRM (ActiveCampaign, Keap, HubSpot, etc.), connect that instead. However, you must still install the SegMetrics tracking pixel on your ClickFunnels pages to track visitor behavior and funnel performance.
Q: Will the tracking code affect my page loading speed?
A: SegMetrics tracking codes load asynchronously and have minimal impact on page speed. The pixel is lightweight and optimized for performance.
Q: How does SegMetrics handle ClickFunnels affiliate tracking?
A: SegMetrics tracks affiliate-generated leads by connecting affiliate attribution data with purchase information. This shows lifetime value and performance of different affiliate partners, not just immediate conversions.
