Authorize.net
SegMetrics does not have a direct integration with Authorize.net, and there are no plans to build one. Here's why — and what to connect instead so your revenue still shows up correctly in your reports.
Why Authorize.net isn't supported
Authorize.net is a payment gateway, not an order or cart platform. It authorizes and captures the charge, but it doesn't store the details of what was actually bought.
The data available from Authorize.net is typically limited to:
- Customer name
- Transaction reference
- Amount charged
There's no product, order, or subscription context — and no reliable customer identity to match against your CRM. SegMetrics needs to know what someone bought, not just that money moved, in order to attribute revenue to the marketing that drove it.
That order information lives in the platform sitting in front of Authorize.net — your cart, checkout, or membership platform. That's the system we integrate with instead.
What to connect instead
Almost everyone using Authorize.net has another tool handling the orders. Connect that tool, and your Authorize.net revenue flows into SegMetrics with full product and customer detail attached.
Commonly used with Authorize.net and fully supported by SegMetrics:
- SamCart
- Kartra
- Studiocart
- Spiffy
- UltraCart
- Konnektive
- WooCommerce
- Chargebee and Recurly (for subscription billing)
You can browse the full list in your account under Settings → Integrations, or see How to Choose Which Revenue Source to Connect if you're not sure which one to use as your source of truth.
If nothing sits in front of Authorize.net
If Authorize.net is genuinely your only record of orders — for example a fully custom checkout — you have two options:
- Send orders in with our Custom Payments source. Order data (email, product, amount, date) can be pushed into SegMetrics directly, or through Zapier, so purchases are recorded with full product detail.
- Upload historical orders. See Uploading Historical Data to bring in past revenue by file.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will Authorize.net support ever be added?
A: No — because Authorize.net doesn't hold order or product data, there's nothing for SegMetrics to attribute revenue to even with a direct connection. Connecting the cart or checkout platform in front of it gives you the same revenue with full product and customer context, so a native integration wouldn't add anything a source integration doesn't already cover.
Q: If I connect my cart platform now, will my past Authorize.net transactions show up automatically?
A: Only transactions processed after you connect will sync going forward. To bring in past revenue, use Uploading Historical Data to backfill orders by file.
Q: What if my cart or checkout platform isn't in the supported list?
A: Check the full list under Settings → Integrations — it's more extensive than the common examples above. If your platform genuinely isn't supported, use the Custom Payments source to send order data directly or via Zapier, and see Requesting New Integrations and Features to let us know what you're using.
Q: Can I connect both Authorize.net and my cart platform?
A: You don't need to — and you shouldn't connect Authorize.net directly, since there's no such integration. Connecting only the cart or checkout platform in front of it is the correct setup and avoids duplicate revenue records.
Q: Will this affect subscriptions billed through Authorize.net?
A: No, as long as a supported subscription platform (like Chargebee or Recurly) or cart tool is managing the billing relationship. That platform is what SegMetrics reads order and renewal data from, regardless of which gateway ultimately processes the charge.
